In the interests of shameless self-promotion, I want to update my readers on an old project that has been lying in a shallow grave for a couple of months now.
As I mentioned awhile back, my Year in the Death of One Man project attracted the interest of some former journalistic colleagues, and I was asked to write a synopsis of the project for Inside Jersey magazine. Yesterday I had a chance to see a PDF file of the layout, and although I can’t share it here, I will say that I am very pleased with how it’s looking.
My article will be published sometime in January, I believe, but you don’t have to wait to get a head start because the Year in the Death of One Man project is still available on my alternate site, HERE.
I wish to formally thank the Andover (NJ) Cemetery Association for granting permission for me to continue using the photographs on my blog, and separate permission for Inside Jersey to publish some of them. I also want to thank my old buddies at Inside Jersey, including Rosemary, Amanda and Pablo, for helping to make me look good.
I also want to thank my wife for putting up with me when I was irritable while writing, my parents, my readers, The Academy, and of course William himself, without whom none of this would have been possible.
Of course I would be remiss if I did not also thank my children, grandchildren, sister, gnomes . . .
